How youth teams work

Clear answers, before day one.

Fair placement. Teams are picked by unbiased coaches with no relation to any player.

    Placement

    Every player is evaluated, in a 30-minute private evaluation or at a group tryout, and placed on the team that best fits his development.

  2. 02

    Schedule

    Year-round play through USSSA, Top Gun, and GameOn Sports events. [Practice nights and tournament count TBA].

    Travel

    [Event locations and travel radius TBA]. Families get organized travel plans and one direct contact all season.

    Development

    Fundamentals and baseball IQ first, with training at Coastal Athletics and private lessons from the coaching staff.

Cooperstown

Cooperstown Dreams Park · 12U

Back-to-back 12U finals.

Rock Solid Red reached the 12U final at Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2014 and 2015, then the semifinals in 2016 and 2017. Walker Jenkins, now with the Minnesota Twins, played on the 2016 team.

Every team is a step up. Younger players learn the fundamentals and baseball IQ that high school players lean on later, and the road leads to the 15U and 17U high school teams.

How are players placed?

Our staff evaluates every player and places him on skills and coachability. Placement is decided by unbiased coaches with no relation to any player.

How much time does it take?
